A few years ago I started praying for a Christian fellowship at Uber. I often felt alone and wondered if I was the only fish in the pond. I searched for other Christians in the internal employee forum, but only received a response from someone who thought the group was for people named “Christian”. When I was about to lose hope, a new employee named Connie contacted me and invited me to the Faith & Work gathering. We began connecting with more believers in the workplace, and together we prayed and had fellowship. Through His blessings, we formed UberGrace within a month. Our workplace is our mission field: we replaced our loneliness with a community of support, care, and joy.

We first met Karen a few years ago at a Faith & Work Movement leader's dinner in SF where she shared her heart for her workplace. She told us that she had prayed for over two years that God would connect her to other like-minded Christians. At that dinner she connected with an individual employed at her company who had prayed similarly. We had the privilege of coming alongside this group in the early stages of forming a group of believers. This small faithful group went on to be a recognized faith group in their company called UBERGrace. We appreciate Karen's consistent heart for the Lord and  people of the workplaces that God assigns her to.

Bringing my faith into my workplace means....

Just as each part of a body serves a different function, we can bring our gifts together to glorify God in the workplace.
